Community Engagement and Access to Healthcare 

Vichaivej International Hospital Group promotes community engagement and access to healthcare through community development initiatives, social opportunity creation, health education, mobile medical services, Telemedicine, and more inclusive service access for persons with disabilities and vulnerable groups. 

Caring for Communities While Expanding Access to Healthcare 

Vichaivej International Hospital Group is committed to delivering sustainable healthcare services based on quality, safety, and accessibility. The Group therefore places strong importance on community engagement alongside improving access to healthcare services for people across different groups and areas. This reflects its intention to create shared value for stakeholders and contribute positively to society over the long term.  

Creating Shared Value with Communities 

The Group’s community approach focuses on strengthening people’s capabilities, creating opportunities for vulnerable groups, and promoting health knowledge to support long-term quality of life. In 2025, the Group clearly emphasized community development and social opportunity creation through support for education, vocational skills development, and employment opportunities for disadvantaged groups.  

2025 Community Performance Highlights 

• 65 people participated in vocational training programs  

• 20 disadvantaged individuals were employed  

• 20 scholarships were awarded  

• 2,687 students participated in learning promotion activities  

Expanding Access to Healthcare Services 

The Group works to reduce barriers to healthcare access by providing services both within hospitals and beyond hospital settings, particularly through mobile health services, community-based outreach, Telemedicine, and service expansion into areas or population groups with specific healthcare needs. This approach helps make healthcare more accessible, convenient, and equitable for the public. 

In 2025, 10,718 people participated in health promotion activities, while 894 people took part in medical outreach activities, reflecting the Group’s role in extending healthcare services into communities and broadening access to preventive and supportive care.  

In addition, the Group continued to promote public health knowledge through a wide range of outreach activities. In 2025, 12,915 people participated in health education programs, including CPR and First Aid training, disease prevention education, and health promotion activities in schools and workplaces. The Group also provided health-related training to 222 teachers, helping strengthen the ability to pass on accurate health knowledge to young people.  

Innovation Supporting Health Access 

The Group applies medical technology to improve access to preventive and early-stage healthcare. In 2025, Vichaivej International Hospital Group collaborated with V5med to implement V5 Lung AI, an artificial intelligence solution that supports early-stage lung cancer screening by improving the detection of pulmonary nodules from Low-dose CT scans. This helps strengthen early diagnosis and supports more effective access to preventive care.  

At the same time, the Group’s Mobile Medical Unit provides off-site health services nationwide, covering pre-employment and annual health check-ups, occupational health risk screening, vaccination services, migrant worker health checks, and other occupational health-related services. Supported by qualified medical personnel and modern equipment, these services help extend healthcare access to schools, state enterprises, public organizations, workplaces, and other communities.  

Access Through Telemedicine and Disability-Inclusive Services 

To make healthcare access more inclusive for diverse population groups, the Group promotes Telemedicine as an additional healthcare channel. This helps reduce barriers related to distance, time, and travel, particularly for elderly people, patients with chronic conditions, patients requiring continuous follow-up, as well as persons with disabilities or mobility limitations who may face challenges visiting hospitals frequently. 

The Group also recognizes the importance of designing service experiences that take into account persons with disabilities and vulnerable groups. This includes facilitating appointment arrangements, providing clear and accessible information, offering assistance at service points, and maintaining a service environment that supports safe and dignified access to care. This approach reinforces that healthcare access is not only about the number of activities or service locations, but also about equitable access for all groups of people. 

Collaboration to Broaden Social Impact 

In 2025, Vichaivej International Hospital Group entered into an MOU with MCOT Public Company Limited to provide training and knowledge sharing related to healthcare business and medical services. The collaboration also supported broader health education and communication, helping expand public access to health information and strengthen health awareness across society.

The Group’s community engagement and healthcare access initiatives go beyond the provision of medical services alone. They also contribute to social opportunity creation, lifelong learning, disability-inclusive access, and better well-being for people in the wider community. These efforts strengthen stakeholder confidence, support responsible growth, and reinforce the Group’s role as a healthcare organization committed to creating long-term shared value for society.
